On Friday, 25 October 2019, this enormous project returned to Senwes Head Office after the past two years at Triest Training Centre. No less than 590 less privileged people from ten organisations enjoyed the function. The organisations involved included Atamelang Child and Youth Care Centre, Daphne Lee, House Adonai, Janie Schneider, Khaya Tshepo, Manu Dei, Rethabile Children's Home, Triest Training Centre, Voetlig Children and Viljoenskroon Youth Care Centre. Everyone received a gift and was treated on a day full of fun. Games such as football, jumping castles, volley ball, water slides and a foam party were enjoyed by all.
This popular project had 106 sponsors and 250 volunteers, under the guidance of Elmarie Joynt and Thobo Trust, Hannetjie Burger, Jaco Steyn, Linie van Staden and Mariëtte Hugo.
Similar to the first project in 2007, this is firstly a staff-driven project and all Senwes divisions and joint ventures such as Bastion, Certisure, Grainovation, Senwes Central Admin, Senwes Credit, Senwes Grainlink, Senwes Innovation, Senwes IT, Senwes SPPD, Staalmeester and Tradevantage bought into the project.
But where does this drive come from? Well, the organisers sum it up as follows: “When God invites you to do something for Him, to do His work, to receive and give love to his VIP's, then you accept and do it with all your heart.”
