Today, Thobo Trust, the CSI initiative of the Senwes Group, held a launch event where the opening of two kitchens at both Phakela Primary and Secondary Schools was introduced. This initiative forms part of Thobo Trust’s core values which includes the improvement of food security at schools within Senwes’ area of operation.

SUCCESSFUL LAUNCH OF MORABARABA GAME

At the end of 2022, Thobo Trust, the CSI arm of the Senwes Group, identified an opportunity with Tjaart Kotze from the farm Ratzegaaiskraal (in the Ventersdorp area; Dr Kenneth Kaunda district, North-West Province), for the purpose of establishing inter alia a sustainable vegetable garden and to provide resources for the game “Morabaraba” at schools in the area (hereinafter referred to as “the Project”). The beneficiaries were identified as the children from the Opang-Diatla Intermediate Farm School and Rabana Primary School situated at Klipplaatdrif, Ventersdorp.
